Information Technology plays a crucial role in enabling a secure and sustainable tomorrow by leveraging technology to address existing and emerging global challenges. Supply Chain Security Roundtable

Wednesday, November 1 - Thursday, November 2

Join The Open Group Open Trusted Technology Forum (OTTF) in their Supply Chain Security Roundtable Event to learn more about current best practices for supply chain security and to actively contribute to discussions that will enhance the Open Trusted Technology Provider™ Standard (O-TTPS).

Sessions on Wednesday, November 1 will focus on addressing current requirements detailed in the O-TTPS and ways that organizations have implemented and benefited from them. Presentations will also detail best practices around cyber supply chain security and business continuity management in the supply chain from both industry and government speakers.

Sessions on Thursday, November 2, will feature structured discussions informed by a survey of public and private organizations; learnings from these discussions will feed into enhancements of the O-TTPS.

Workshop: Introduction to the O-PAS™ Standard for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Companies [no fee session]

Wednesday, November 1, A.M.

The Open Process Automation™ Forum (OPAF) is developing a “Standard of Standards” for an open, interoperable, and secure process automation architecture (The O-PAS™ standard). This session is a tailored introduction to The O-PAS™ standard, for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Companies. The O-PAS™ Standard defines a Reference Architecture and Information Model to enable interoperability within a heterogeneous distributed control system. Through adoption of the standard, end-users gain more freedom when managing obsolescence within systems. Participants in the session will gain insight into the practical implementation of The O-PAS™ standard and ways to deliver value to customers.

Workshop: Data Science Workshop [no fee session]

Wednesday, November 1, P.M.

The Data Science Virtual Workshop, "An Experiential Journey with Data to inspire Your Work", will make you think differently about data and how it can solve problems! This workshop includes surprising use cases that will make you think differently about data, sometime laugh, and hopefully inspire your own work to discover actionable insights in the mounds of data available.

OSDU® Forum Houston Meeting: October 31 - November 2

The Open Group OSDU Forum enables the energy industry to develop transformational technology to support the world's changing energy needs. The OSDU Data Platform is an Open Source, standards-based and technology-agnostic data platform for the energy industry that stimulates innovation, industrializes data management and reduces time to market for new solutions.

In the Forum Member meeting, you will hear from operators, vendors and cloud service providers about their engagement and adoption of the OSDU Data Platform, along with details of future roadmaps and workflow capabilities. Plenary presentations will examine:

Zero Trust Accelerator Workshop $495

A half-day, interactive and in-person event designed to get your organization started with Zero Trust, in the right way.

This workshop is an in-person event run in association with Numberline Security and will be co-located with The Open Group Summit, at the Hyatt Regency Houston West, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday 31st October 2023.

The Workshop will be run and presented by Jason Garbis, Principal, Numberline Security. Paid attendance at this workshop will not give you access to any other part of The Open Group Houston Summit.
