For nearly 20 years e-government has innovatively evolved to enhance the delivery of services to all clients be they citizens, residents, business and people world-wide. e-Government has dramatically improved the quality of life for billions of people globally through technology enhanced service delivery and management. ... and this is only the beginning.

The aim of this event is to unite practitioners and industry experts to discuss achievements, lessons learned and looming issues in e-Government. The theme is e-Government at the federal/NGO, provincial and municipal levels looking at the e-Society, e-Technology and e-Management viewpoints. Emphasis will be on how techniques such as Enterprise Architecture and Business Design and standards such as TOGAF® and ArchiMate® are acting as a foundational core for enterprise transformation.

Topics include: Issues surrounding business transformation, business analysis, information sharing, e-health, privacy and cyber-security. In addition, the strategic execution and the application of emerging technologies and management techniques to e-Government will be the subject of presentations by global experts.

Presentations from key industry experts and practitioners on the latest developments in e-Government.


Highlights include:
  • EA in Government - In addition to the Monday plenary session there will be specific tracks on EA in Government. Presentations include: Business Transformation in Government, Use of Governance and Audit Frameworks and e-Government case studies (including using TOGAF®).

  • The Open Group Open Process Automation™ Forum - Users of process control automation systems need a next-generation interoperable and secure process control automation framework. Such a framework (a standard of standards) would provide customers of process control systems with an open architecture upon which future innovation could occur, while preserving investments made in current process control automation systems.   • Understand how to develop better interoperability and communication across organizational boundaries and pursue global standards for Enterprise Architecture that are highly relevant to all industries.

  • ArchiMate® 3.0 - Features and practical use cases of the ArchiMate 3.0 Standard.

  • Open Platform 3.0™ - Focus on the Customer Experience and Digital Business. Track sessions on covering the Internet of Things (IoT) applied in government and Smart Cities.

  • IT4IT™ - Managing the Business of IT. Presentations and end user case studies on using and implementing the IT4IT Reference Architecture Version 2.1 standard.

  • Risk, Dependability & Trusted Technology - the cybersecurity connection - securing the global supply chain.
